start by grounding yourself in the sensuous elements of the ritual. close your eyes and take the candle in both hands. notice the cool smoothness of the glass against your fingers. take a deep inhale; does the smell remind you of a certain time or place? once you feel centered in your body start to visualize your intention. speak your intention into the wax, and as you light the wick imagine the wax as your pure intention, sustaining the flame until it has all been released. when the wax has been used up, you will be left with herbs and a crystal steeped in your intention. you may return the herbs to the earth as an offering at a sacred site. the crystal is now a talisman imbued with your specific energy, carry it with you for a daily reminder of your power.
